The objective of the present invention is to achieve a distribution device which, without analyzing components of video content, can identify a component group capable of being multiplexed and carry out multiplexed distribution thereof. A secondary distribution server (200) is provided with: a reception unit (210) which receives a plurality of components which form video content; a management information analysis/update unit (230) which references configuration information indicating, as a group of components which can be multiplexed into a single multiplex component, a group of components in which each of the components thereof corresponds to any of the first-mentioned plurality of components; and a multiplexing unit (240) which multiplexes the component group belonging to the group which has been indicated in the configuration information into the multiplex component.
