Abstract:
A diversity receiver apparatus comprises a first branch (5) that demodulates a frequency multiplexed signal, in which a group of carriers have been multiplexed, to output a first data carrier and a first pilot carrier; a second branch (6) that demodulates a frequency multiplexed signal, in which a group of carriers have been multiplexed, to output a second data carrier and a second pilot carrier; a timing adjusting part (7) that synchronizes the processing timings of the carrier groups as demodulated by the first and second branches (5,6); a combining/selecting part (8) that combines the first and second data carriers or selects the first or second data carrier; and a control part (10) that controls, based on at least one of the reception state of the first branch (5) and that of the second branch (6), the activation and deactivation of at least one of the first and second branches (5,6).
