Provided is a divided stator core in which engagement is carried out in the peripheral direction so as to make it possible to reduce the compressive stress of the stator core while stabilizing the anchoring of the stator core. The divided stator core (1) for a motor is configured from a plurality of stator core divided bodies (21) that are arranged so as to be in contact in the peripheral direction and joined in an annular shape, and is characterized by: the provision of a flexible annular metal belt (29) that tightens and joins the outer peripheral surfaces (21) of each of the stator core divided bodies (21) that are arranged in an annular shape, engaging concave sections (27) that are formed on the outer peripheral surfaces (21a) of the stator core divided bodies (21), carry out engagement in the peripheral direction, and extend in the direction of the rotational axis, and mounting members (15) that have a key-shaped section (31) that is fitted to the engaging concave sections (27) and engages in the peripheral direction, and a bracket section that protrudes outward in the radial direction; and by the mounting member (15) and the flexible annular metal belt (29) being separate members.
