Abstract:
The present invention relates to a distance measuring equipment (DME) pulse generation device and method used for a navigation system and, specifically, to a DME pulse generation device and method used for a navigation system, the device and the method: generating a plurality of DME pulses by inputting one basic DME pulse and using a genetic algorithm; calculating spectral power and shape of the generated DME pulses and a distance measurement accuracy, and filtering the generated DME pulses over three stages while comparing the generated DME pulses with the DME pulse standard and set values of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO); and repetitively performing the present process until one DME pulse is selected, so as to generate a final DME pulse having an excellent distance measurement accuracy.
