AMENDED SHEET (ARTICLE 19)

Description:
DOCTOR ENDOSCOPY CHAIR AND ENDOSCOPE CARRYING / MANIPULATION APPARATUS

Field of the Invention:

This invention is a doctor endoscopy chair and the endoscope carrying / manipulating apparatus that provides great convenience and comfort to the physician during the surgical operation, especially in flexible ureterorenoscopy, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography), and ophthalmology and dental units, and indirectly increases the success rate of the surgery.

State of the Art:

Endoscopy procedure is when the physician examines the target organs (diagnosis) and performs the necessary procedures (treatment) without making any surgical incisions in the body with the help of a device called endoscope with a small camera with light at the end. It is a very reliable and effective method for detecting the factors that cause urinary tract and digestive system disorders and then treating them. Flexible ureterorenoscope technical characteristics, due to its thinness and curvature, can be reached from the urethra (urinary canal) into the ureter and kidney, and stones in the kidney can be broken with the help of stone crushing systems such as laser. Since it is a minimally invasive method, it is widely used in many clinics because it provides treatment as well as diagnosis.

The greatest difficulty of the devices used in flexible endoscopy, ureterorenoscopy, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and gastroscopy is the feeling of fatigue due to time. Inflexible ureterorenoscopy, the stone breaking process takes a long time, and physicians often experience fatigue, distraction, and tremors in the hands, as they usually stand with a fluoroscopy shirt and have to perform the procedure in an uneven posture. This situation affects the success of the surgeries and causes device malfunctions. These problems are a common complaint among urologists who perform the procedure. The same problems arise in other surgical procedures such as flexible ureterorenoscopy. Flexible ureterorenoscopy, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography) and similar endoscopic procedures are performed in non-ergonomic positions for the physician. In addition, another problem of physicians in these surgical procedures is that the devices called endoscopes and light tubes are constantly required to be handled. Because when sending the light tube to the patient's internal organs, the necessary manipulations and rotations should be done carefully. Since the endoscope device is heavy, it can cause hand, wrist, shoulder pain and shoulder stiffness in long-term use by physicians.

Utility Model Number CN203724221U issued on Jul. 23, 2014, discloses a seat special for endoscope physician surgery. The utility model discloses a seat special for an endoscope physician surgery. The seat comprises a lifting adjusted seat body, and a video input interface and a high-frequency electro surgical device signal interactive interface are arranged on a base; a foot padding frame is installed on a lifting supporting column of the lifting adjusted seat body, and two high-frequency electrosurgical device control pedals are arranged on the foot padding frame; an operation handle supporting handle is installed at the end of a left arm cushion of the lifting adjusted seat body, and a displayer is vertically installed at the end of a right arm cushion of the lifting adjusted seat body. By means of the seat, operation of the endoscope displaying screen, the control handle and the high-frequency electrosurgical device control pedals can be considered, and the labor strength of physician is relieved.

Utility Model Number CN208756193U issued on Apr. 19, 2019, discloses a special chair of scope treatment operation medical staff. The utility model provides a special chair of scope treatment operation medical staff, including treatment chair main body frame, treatment chair main body frame lower extreme is equipped withal -round gyro wheel, all -round gyro wheel upper end is equipped with therapeutical chair supporting leg, treatment chair supporting leg upper end is equipped with therapeutical chair and stabilizes chassis, the treatment chair is stabilized chassis upper end and is equipped with with thick back shaft, with being equipped with elevating gear on thick back shaft, elevating gear one side is equipped with adjusts lifting foot footboard, it is equipped with seat support to add thick back shaft upper end, seat support both sides are equipped with ancon, ancon are connected with lower extreme L type back shaft, back shaft link to each other with seat support through pivot. The utility model provides a can let and reduce the tired degree special chair of the time of fighting, can be used for the operating room, conduit room, endoscope room.

Patent Number DE202009009341U1 issued on Nov. 18, 2010, discloses an Endoskopie- Arbeitsplatz. The present invention is based on the objective of realizing an endoscopy workstation in such a way that the endoscope is possible for the physician and the optimum operating conditions for operating the said endoscope driver. The invention includes at least a foot pedal and a seat to activate the driver, and a storage tray in the seat.

In the above-described inventions, the lack of a feature that will provide sufficient comfort to physicians and the lack of mechanisms to ensure rotation and manipulation of the endoscope and light tube devices are the biggest deficiencies of these applications.

Consequently, there is a necessity for a novel technology that is capable of eliminating above mentioned disadvantages, great convenience in surgical procedures for physicians, increases the success rate of the surgery, is comfortable, allows the endoscope and light tube devices to be fixed and moved in the desired direction by maintaining their position, low cost, reliable structure and does not require frequent maintenance.

Description of the Invention:

The present invention is a doctor endoscopy chair and endoscope carrying / manipulation apparatus which can overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages, great convenience in surgical procedures for physicians, increases the success rate of the surgery, is comfortable, allows the endoscope and light tube devices to be fixed and moved in the desired direction by maintaining their position, low cost, reliable structure and does not require frequent maintenance.

Thanks to our endoscopy chair in our invention, it will enable physicians, some of whom work with heavy fluoroscopy shirts, to sit and work during the endoscopic procedure. Thanks to the 4D movable armrests, it will be able to easily make the desired arm movements and position changes with the elbows on the armrest. With the back adjustment and height adjustment parts, the physician will be able to easily adjust the position according to the patient.

With the endoscopy carrier in our invention, the physician's arms will not bear weight and the system will have the possibility of manipulation with the endoscope thanks to the two separate rotation mechanisms. The physician will be able to leave the endoscope optical part to the carrier system completely and use his / her hands for other manipulations (such as laser sending, adjusting the water valve, forceps, basket advancement). In the current surgical method, physicians usually lose the current position of the endoscope in order to perform other manipulations, which causes the procedure to be prolonged and the success rate to decrease. Thanks to our endoscope carrier and light tube carrier apparatus, these problems are solved, as the last position left by the physician is preserved.

With the light tube carrier and guiding apparatus in our invention, physicians will have the opportunity to free their hands. The shoulder pain and stiffness caused by this and that physicians complain about the most are prevented.

Thanks to the step in our invention, apparatus such as laser pedal or fluoroscopy device pedal can be easily used by physicians. Thanks to the ball-joint feet of the step, the height can be adjusted easily and the endoscope holder can be easily fixed to the step whose height is adjusted when desired. The step is associated with the seat by means of an arm. In addition, when the table is asked to be dragged with the seat, an angular movement is given to the step wheel arm, allowing the wheels to meet the floor. With the support pillow in our invention, the comfort level of the arm parts that the physician rests on is increased. In addition, thanks to the sheath placed in the endoscope handle, it is also provided to reduce the diameter and take precautions against endoscope scratches or damage caused by the material.

Since the endoscope and light tube handles in our invention are made of stainless material, they do not show any reaction against gas or sterilization liquid during sterilization after surgical procedures and can be used without any problems.

It is easy to install thanks to the easy fixing of the parts that make up the invention to each other, and the costs are low due to the short installation time. In addition, the invention has a solid structure.
