This document creation assistance device comprises at least one processor, with the processor: acquiring an image and a character string relating to that image; extracting at least one feature region included in the image; identifying, from among the feature regions, a specific region that is a region corresponding to a phrase included in the character string; and on the basis of the identification results, presenting information for assisting the creation of a document including the character string.
