To learn with good precision a function for evaluating a document, even when a document sample in which a feature value is missing is included as training data, a document evaluation device comprises: a data classification unit (3) which classifies a document sample set on the basis of a loss pattern of a first feature vector; a first learning unit (4) which learns for each classification a first calculation formula with which a first score is calculated in which an evaluation value is weighted for each classification, using a feature value which is not missing in the first feature vector and the evaluation value; a feature vector generator unit (5) which computes using the first score a feature value corresponding to each classification, and generates a second feature vector having the computed feature value; and a second learning unit (6) which learns a second calculation formula which calculates a second score for evaluating a document which is an object of evaluation using the second feature vector and the evaluation value.
