Abstract:
A multistage operating electric switch, wherein a conductive elastic plate is deformed by pressing to bring an electric contact into contact therewith and returns to its original shape when the pressing is released to eliminate the electrical contact thereof. A plurality of dome parts are formed integrally with the elastic plate, the projected directions of the dome parts are opposite to the pressing direction, and the dome parts are inverted by the pressing applied thereto. Also, pressing forces required for the inversion differs from the dome part to the dome part. Since spacer parts are required for eliminating the contact of the elastic plate with the contact when the pressing is eliminated, inclinations formed at the outer peripheral portions of the first and second dome parts are used as the spacer parts. Accordingly, since the pressing is reduced temporarily when one dome part is inverted, click feeling can be provided to the switch. Since the pressing forces required for the inversion differs from the dome part to dome part, a multistage operation can be realized. In addition, since the plurality of dome parts and spacer parts are formed integrally with the elastic body, the entire part of the switch can be easily reduced in size.
