Abstract:
Provided is a door closer for which the spring force of a restoring spring can be easily adjusted.
A piston (2) moves toward a first oil chamber (15) during door opening operation and moves toward a second oil chamber (16) during door closing operation. A restoring spring (50) is positioned collinear with the piston (2) and is interposed between a fixed side spring seat near a spindle (3) and a movable side spring seat far from the spindle (3). During the door opening operation, the restoring spring (50) is compressed and stores the closing force by the movable side spring seat being moved so that the same approaches the fixed side spring seat. A spring receiving member (40) that has the fixed side spring seat is configured so that the position of the same can be varied in the axial direction of the piston (2) with respect to a body housing (1), and a spring force adjusting mechanism is provided that adjusts the spring force of the restoring spring (50) by changing the position of the spring receiving member (40) by manipulation from outside the body housing (1).
