Provided is a door hanging apparatus which reliably prevents a door wheel from derailing and a door from slanting when the door is opened and closed, and with which there is almost no running resistance from a derailment prevention mechanism. Running surfaces (18a, 18b) vertically facing each other are disposed in upper and lower rails (13a, 13b). First door wheels (19, 20) run in contact with the lower rail (13b), and are rotatably supported by a first door wheel supporting member (21) which suspends a door (11). Second door wheels (24, 25) are rotatably supported by swinging members (22, 23) which are swingably linked to the first door wheel supporting member (21), and are disposed so as to be able to make contact with the upper rail (13a). A drive linking part (26) is configured to hold and link the door (11) to an opening/closing drive mechanism (12). An elastic linking mechanism (27) includes elastic parts (30a, 30b) which are able to change the relative positions of the second door wheels (24, 25) and the drive linking part (26), and connects the swinging members (22, 23) to the drive linking part (26).
