Abstract:
Provided is a door hinge for an automobile comprising a first bracket (1) secured to a body (B) by a bolt (3), a second bracket (2) secured to a door (D), and a hinge pin (5), the first bracket (1) being configured from: a base plate (1a) having a bolt hole (8) through which the bolt (3) is inserted; a pair of arm plates (1b) that support the hinge pin (5) and rise upright from the top and bottom side edges of the base plate (1a) at one end on the door (D) side; and a pair of ribs (1c) that extend from the arm plates (1b) toward the other end of the base plate (1a) and rise upright from the top and bottom edges of the base plate (1a) so as to face each other from either side of the bolt hole (8); wherein both ends of the base plate (1a) orthogonal to the extending direction of the ribs (1c) are open, and the ribs (1c) are formed so that the thickness (T2) thereof is greater than the thickness (T1) of the arm plates (1b).
