Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a door impact beam comprising a body part having a circular cross section for ensuring strength, and an attachment part which is formed on one side or on both sides of the body part and is shaped so as to have a width of between 100 and 160% of the diameter of the body part and to have a thickness corresponding to between 5 and 40% of the diameter of the body part, wherein the method for producing the door impact beam comprises: a steel-tube preparation step in which a steel tube is produced that has a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the body part; a cutting step in which the steel tube is cut to the length of the door impact beam; a heating step in which the cut steel tube is heated to between 880 and 960°C by using the induction heating method; and a hot-moulding and rapid-cooling step in which the heated steel tube is moulded in a mould having a moulding part corresponding to the shapes of the body part and the attachment part and having a cooling channel connected to the surface of the mould, while at the same time cooling water is supplied to the cooling channel such that the mould is cooled and the cooling water is brought into contact with the surface of the moulded steel tube.
