Abstract:
This door latch device includes: a metal first base member that has a striker receiving groove; a latch that is configured so as to be rotatable around a latch rotation shaft, which is installed on the first base member, in both an engagement direction in which the latch engages a striker and in an engagement release direction in which the engagement with the striker is released; a metal second base member that is arranged so as to face the first base member with the latch therebetween and that is fixed to the first base member; and a load receiving structure that, by means of both a first load receiving part that extends from one of the first base member and the second base member toward the other base member and a second load receiving part that is provided to the other base member, receives an input load from when the striker has moved into the striker receiving groove of the first base member and is urged toward the second base member.
