Abstract:
A door lock device for a vehicle is provided with: a key cylinder (15) mounted to the outer panel (7) of a vehicle door (1); a lock mechanism (11) mounted to the inner panel (9) of the vehicle door (1); and a rod (29) connected to the key cylinder (15) so as to rotate according to the rotational operation of the key cylinder (15) and lock or unlock the lock mechanism (11), the rod (29) having an engagement section (31a) provided at the front end thereof, the engagement section (31a) being capable of engaging with the engagement receiving section (45a) of the lock mechanism (11). The rod (29) is provided with an extendible section (35) capable of extending and retracting in the axial direction of the rod (29).
