Abstract:
A door lock release mechanism is provided with a spacer (40) fixed to a handle space (14) and preventing an outside handle from being pushed inward of a vehicle when an automobile door is deformed, and also with an engaging section (40a) provided to the spacer (40), located in a normal state outside the trajectory of opening operation of the door lock release mechanism, and preventing, when the automobile door is deformed in a side collision, opening operation of a latch opening lever (30) by moving to within the trajectory of the opening operation of the door lock release mechanism. Because of the configuration, when the door is deformed in a side collision, the latch opening lever (30) is prevented from performing door unlocking operation, and this prevents the door from being unlocked. This is achieved only by providing the engaging section (40a) to the spacer (40) for preventing the outside handle (16) from being pushed inward of the vehicle.
