Abstract:
Disclosed are a door-lock and a user authentication method using iris recognition. The door-lock comprises: a wake-up module for recognizing user access or driving the door-lock according to a user's button input; and an iris recognition module for, if the door-lock is driven by the wake-up module, comparing an iris pattern inputted to the door-lock with a pre-stored iris pattern and authenticating, according to the result of the comparison, a user who accessed the door-lock.
