Abstract:
An electronic key (10) actively executes wireless communication in accordance with a keyless entry communication method and passively executes wireless communication in accordance with a RFID communication method. A vehicle control device (30) is mounted on a vehicle and actively executes wireless communication in accordance with each of the keyless entry communication and RFID communication methods. An ECU/BCM (38) unlocks a door (DR1-DR3) by communicating with the electronic key (10) using the keyless entry communication method and issues a password to the electronic key (10) in relation to this action. When a door knob is manipulated, an RFID-IC (42a-42c) obtains the password issued by the ECU/BCM (38) from the electronic key (10) using the RFID communication method and unlocks the door (DR1-DR3) by authenticating the obtained password.
