Abstract:
The present invention which relates to the door and window frame detail profile especially in PVC, plastic derivative, metal (aluminum etc.) window and door frames that meet all the structural, decorative and functional features of the elements such as thresholds, back bands, sills, jambs, blind casings, frame decorations, coating, and that provides water and heat insulation of the frame is generally characterized by; a body profile (1) in U or L form; external frame profile (2) installed on the outer edge (1.2) of the body profile (1) by interlocking; channel (1.1) and guides (2.1) providing the installation of the external frame profile (2) onto the body profile (1) by interlocking; decorative surface (2.2) providing the external frame profile (2) to serve as a jamb, frame decoration, coating; internal frame profile (3) installed on the inner edge (1.3) of the body profile (1) by interlocking; tenon (1.4) and mortise (3.1) providing the installation of the internal frame profile(3) onto the body profile (1) by interlocking; gasket (8) at the place where the internal frame profile (3) meets the back band extension (3.2) and the internal frame profile (3) meets the glass frame (4).

Claims:
CLAIMS

1- The present invention is related to the door and window frame detail profile and it is characterized by; - The body profiles(l) which fit fully in the wall(6) thickness in the window opening(5) and this way which eliminate the need for a sill, threshold, blind casing, installation surface repairs;

- The external frame profiles(2) which are installed on the outer edge(1.2) of the body profile(l) by interlocking and eliminate the need for a jamb, frame decoration, coating, paint;

- The internal frame profiles(3) which are installed on the outer edge(1.2) of the body profile(l) by interlocking and eliminate the need for a back band, sill.

2- It is the body profile(l) mentioned in Claim 1 and it is characterized by, U or L shape composed of an outer edge(l .2) extending from the window opening(5) to the wall external surface(6.2) and an inner edge(1.3) extending from the window opening(5) to the wall internal surface(6.1).

3- It is the body profile(l) mentioned in Claim 1 and it is characterized by; at least one channel(l.l) on the outer edge(1.2).

4- It is the external frame profile(2) mentioned in Claim 1 and it is characterized by, at least one guide(2.1) which enables the installation of the external frame profile(2) on the channels(l.l) on the body profile(l) by interlocking.

5- It is the body profile(l ) mentioned in Claim 1 and it is characterized by; a tenon(l .4) on the inner edge( 1.3).

6- It is the internal frame profile(3) mentioned in Claim 1 and it is characterized by; a mortise(3.1) which enables the internal frame profile(3) to be installed on the tenon(1.4) on the body profile(l).

7- It is the internal frame profile(3) mentioned in Claim 1 and it is characterized by; a back band extension(3.2) that extends towards the wall internal surface(6.1). 8- It is the external frame profile(2) mentioned in Claim 1 and it is characterized by; a decorative surface(2.2) which eliminates the needs such as jamb, frame decoration, coating.

9- It is the body profile(l) mentioned in Claim 1 and it is characterized by; a panel extension(1.5) which constitutes the joining detail of jacketing applied on the wall(6) and the plates such as insulation panel(7) with the body profile(l).

10- It is the internal frame profile(3) mentioned in Claim 1 and it is characterized by; a gasket(8) at the section where it touches the glass frame(4).

Description:
DOOR AND WINDOW FRAME DETAIL PROFILE

The present invention relates to the door and window frame detail profile especially in PVC, plastic derivative, metal (aluminum etc.) window and door frames that meet all the structural, decorative and functional features of the elements such as thresholds, back bands, sills, jambs, blind casings, frame decorations, coating, and that provides water and heat insulation of the frame. In the state of the art, especially PVC and plastic derivative window frames are produced by a special structural form. This form is generally composed of a frame casing. The elements such as threshold, back band, sill, jamb, frame decoration, coating are engaged onto the structure of the frame afterwards by various methods.

In the state of the art; the window frames are attached to the buildings during the rough construction or after the scratch coat. During and after the placement of the window frames into the window openings of the building at the rough construction stage; the procedures such as the addition and fixation of the elements such as back bands, jambs, detail decorations, coating, insulation, painting are required to be applied. The abundant and difficult nature of such procedures causes various problems. Moreover, it is also quite difficult to change the window frames of the existing buildings due to the mentioned procedures.

In the state of the art; the window frame installation to the buildings at the stage of rough construction (brick laid or scratch coat applied) or the existing buildings is carried out as follows:

The defects in the rough construction (brick) state or the window openings from which the old frames are removed are corrected by filling materials such as plaster, gypsum, repair mortar, polyurethane foam etc. As based on the features of the window frame, blind casing can also be installed in the window opening. Following the preparation of the window opening; sills (window parapets) should be placed. Sill is defined as inward or outward projection produced from materials such as concrete, mosaic, marble, metal, wood which is placed on the section where the window frame is fitted into the structure (concrete, brick). Sills are used to prevent the penetration of the water on the projection of the window, into the wall or spread over the wall surface. Due to this reason, the sills are required to be placed correctly (as sloped inwards and outwards).

In PVC window frames, the back bands are installed onto the frame in advance. Following the installation of the back bands, the window frames are placed into the window openings. The window frames are generally fixed to the window opening by screws and are reinforced by using materials such as sealants, silicone, gypsum, polyurethane foam etc. the gaps between the frame and the wall are filled with polyurethane foam. Silicone is applied to the joints of the edges in order to provide sealing and insulation. Finally, window and/or door wings are attached. Furthermore, decorative applications such as jamb, frame detail decorations, coating, painting are also applied onto the installed frame.

The procedures mentioned above have various difficulties:

Following the application of the materials such as polyurethane foam, gypsum, sealant, silicone, it is required to carry out additional procedures such as cleaning the excess, filling the delects, correcting the edges, covering the amorphous look etc. Since the filling materials applied between the frame and the wall do not have a smooth structure, this causes a bad look. There is no solution for the existing frames in order to cover the bad look of the filling materials such as foam, silicone, gypsum. The additional methods such as plaster, gypsum, paint, jamb etc. are applied in order to cover the mentioned filling materials. These additional procedures result in extra cost and loss of labor.

The existing PVC window wings and glasses have heat and sound insulation. However, heat and water insulation is required to be applied to the parts where the window frame meets the wall. In the state of the art, the insulation procedures are carried out by applying the materials such as sealants and silicon, between the frame and the wall. However, the insulations carried out by applying silicone and sealant are usually insufficient, vulnerable for application defects and have low resistance against deformation

In the state of the art, mosaic, concrete and marble sills (window parapets) are used in general. However, since the heat conductivity of the materials such as marble mosaic, concrete, metal etc.. is high, they let in the house, the low temperature of outside. This causes the heat insulation on the window wings, glasses and window frame to be non-functional. Furthermore, it is required to install the sills very carefully and sensitively. The difficulties such as giving the correct slope in the internal and external parts, achieving full horizontality at places where the window frame shall be fitted, increase the risk for defects in the installation of sills.

In the existing window frames, the aesthetic elements such as paint, coating, jamb, edge decorations bring extra costs. Moreover, the paint and coating applications carried out afterwards deform by time. In the state of the art, the materials produced apart from the window frame are used for the elements such as sill, back band, jamb, edge decorations. This state increases the cost and causes difficulties during installation.

In the state of the art, the window frames are installed to the inner parts of the window openings (by centering the wall thickness). In this case, the wall continues up to the window frame at the upper and lateral edges of the window opening. (It is closed by the sill at the lower edge). If the window frame does not completely cover the sides of the window openings, this causes excess material use and labor consumption in jacketing, plaster and building insulation applications. The present invention which relates to the door and window frame detail profile especially in PVC, plastic derivative, metal (aluminum etc.) window and door frames that meet all the structural, decorative and functional features of the elements such as thresholds, back bands, sills, jambs, blind casings, frame decorations, coating, and that provides water and heat insulation of the frame, completely overcomes the disadvantages mentioned above and it is characterized by; accommodating all the structural, decorative and functional features of the window frame, back band, sill, jamb, blind casing, frame decoration and coating elements; providing water and heat insulation on the edges of the window without any use of additional insulation materials; easy and faultless installation thanks to its body structure which provides complete fitting in the window openings (wall); using less materials in jacketing, plaster and insulation applications since it completely fills the window openings; joining of the internal and external frame parts into the body in an interlocked way; decorative features of the external frame; insulating features of the internal and external frames; easily changeable internal and external parts if required; aesthetic, decorative, functional and economic use.

The present invention comprises window frame profile parts produced of wood dust, PVC chips and raw materials with carbon content. The profiles of the invention are produced as 90% recycled. The invention contains L or U shaped body (frame) profiles that completely fit into the window and door openings (wall edges). The body profiles that completely grip the edge of the window opening eliminate the need for additional sill (window parapet). The other elements of the invention, internal and external frame parts join to the body profile by interlocking. External frame parts are fitted on the part of the body profile extending to the external surface of the wall. External frame parts with decorative features serve as the elements such as jamb, frame decoration, coating, sill, insulation etc. Internal frame parts are fitted to the part of the body profile which is situated inside the location. Internal frame parts serve as the elements such as sill, back band, threshold, insulation etc. The body profiles and internal, external frame parts have heat and water insulation. This way, the window frame is insulated from the inside and outside. All the parts of the invention are paintable. The body profiles that completely fit in (grip) the wall edges in the window and door openings provide an easy and faultless installation of the frame. Water and heat insulation on the edges of the window is enabled without any additional insulation material use thanks to the full grip of the body profiles over the window opening edges. This way, full performance insulation is provided in the whole window including the window edges and sill. The filling materials such as silicone, sealant, gypsum, building mortar used in repair of the window openings are easily covered thanks to the body profiles. External frame profiles are produced with decorative look. This way, the applications such as jamb, frame decoration, coating are not required.

The body profiles completely grip the edges of the window openings and extend towards the wall surfaces which are advantages with respect to the material and labor in the jacketing, plaster and building insulation applications. Moreover, the body profiles have a structure which is in compliance with the jacketing and insulation plates.

The features such as high performance insulation, aesthetic look, easy installation, soundness etc. are provided for the door and window frames are provided without any additional procedure and equipment, thanks to the invention. With all these features, the invention provides saving on labor and cost.

The present invention is explained in detail through sampling with the attached drawings; such drawings are as;

The present invention which relates to the door and window frame detail profile especially in PVC, plastic derivative, metal (aluminum etc.) window and door frames that meet all the structural, decorative and functional features of the elements such as thresholds, back bands, sills, jambs, blind casings, frame decorations, coating, and that provides water and heat insulation of the frame is generally characterized by; a body profile(l) in U or L form; external frame profile(2) installed on the outer edge(1.2) of the body profile(l) by interlocking; channel(l .l) and guides(2.1) providing the installation of the external frame profile(2) onto the body profile(l) by interlocking; decorative surface(2.2) providing the external frame profile(2) to serve as a jamb, frame decoration, coating; internal frame profile(3) installed on the inner edge(1.3) of the body profile(l) by interlocking; tenon(1.4) and mortise(3.1) providing the installation of the internal frame profile(3) onto the body profile(l) by interlocking; gasket(8) at the place where the internal frame profile(3) meets the back band extension(3.2) and the internal frame profile(3) meets the glass frame(4).

The present invention is composed of three types of profiles as heat and water insulated and paintable profiles. These are; body profile(l), external frame profile(2), and internal frame profile(3). External frame profile(2) and internal frame profile(3) are installed on the body profile(l) by interlocking. The body profile(l) has U or L form enabling full fitting onto the wall(6) at the window opening(5). The outer edge(1.2) of the body profile(l) extends from the window opening(5) up to the wall external surface(6.2). The inner edge(1.3) of the body profile(l) extends from the window opening(5) up to the wall internal surface(6.1 ). The body profile(l) eliminates the need for a blind casing, threshold and sill. There is a panel extension(1.5) at the end of the outer edge(1.2) of the body profile(l). The panel extension(1.5) constitute the joining detail of jacketing applied on the wall(6) and the plates such as insulation panel(7) with the body profile(l ). This way, insulation loss on the joining points is prevented.

The external frame profile(2) is installed on the outer edge(t.2) of the body profile(l) by interlocking. In interlocked installation, the guides(2.1) on the external frame profile(2) are inserted into the channels(l.l) on the body profile(l). The front face of the external frame profile(2) is in the form of a decorative surface(2.2). The external frame profile(2) eliminates the need for the elements such as jamb, coating, frame decoration.

The internal frame profile(3) is installed on the inner edge(1.3) of the body profile(l) by interlocking. In interlocked installation, the internal frame profile(3) is positioned on the tenon(1.4) on the body profiled) by the help of a mortise(3.1). There is a back band extension(3.2) extending into the wall internal surface(6.1) in the internal frame profile(3).

The internal frame profile(3) eliminates the need for the elements such as back band and sill.

There is a gasket(8) at the section where the internal frame profile(3) touches the glass frame(4).
