Abstract:
A doorway safety device of elevator, in which elongation/contraction due to temperature variation and vibration due to opening/closing of a door are eliminated by connecting printed boards through a metal piece. At the doorway of an elevator, there are arranged a projector (5) for projecting infrared rays over the total height of the doorway and a light receiver (6) located at a position facing the projector and receiving infrared rays. The projector has in its inside a printed board (10) and light emitting elements (11) arranged thereon, and the light receiver has in its inside a printed board (16) and light receiving elements (17) arranged thereon. The printed boards on which the light emitting elements and the light receiving elements are arranged are divided, along the vertical direction of the doorway, into printed boards and the divided printed boards are interconnected and arranged over the total height of the doorway. A connector (50) for electrically connecting divided printed boards (10a, 10b) and a metal piece (20) interposed between the connector and the printed boards to mechanically connect the printed boards are also provided.
