Abstract:
A doped low temperature phase barium metaborate single crystal, growth method and frequency converter thereof are provided. The chemical formula of the single crystal is Ba1-xB2-y-zO4-SixAlyGaz, x is 0-0.15, y is 0-0.10, z is 0-0.04, x, y and z are not zero simultaneously. The growth method is molten salt. The single crystal hardly deliquesces. Secondary harmonic generation and light injury threshold of the single crystal are larger than BBO. The shore hardness and Mohs hardness of the single crystal are 101.3 and 6, respectively. The shore hardness and Mohs hardness of the BBO are 71.2 and 4, respectively. The cut-off wavelength and initial absorption wavelength of the single crystal are 190nm and 205nm respectively based on the test of transmissivity of UV-Vis light.
