Abstract:
Double action screw-press in which the mechanism (23) for braking the external slider (9) when it approaches the lowermost position is mounted on the butt-end surface of said slider. The mechanism (23) includes a plate (24) provided with an arrangement for movement along the longitudinal axis of the screw (3), four elastic elements (31) mounted on the plate (24), two of which are kinematically connected, through a traverse (26), to a second stop (30). The latter is rotatably mounted in the traverse (26) and interacts, by its end face, with the end face of a first stop (22). The press is further provided with a third stop, rigidly connected to the frame (1) and interacting with the plate (24) when the external slider (9) approaches its lowermost position.
