A double-cage rotor having a rotor core that is constructed by laminating multiple laminated plates in a skewed manner, said laminated plate having multiple double slots that are provided on the periphery in the circumferential direction and each of which comprises an outer slot, an inner slot, and a slit for connecting the outer slot with the inner slot and has a metal conductor inserted therein, wherein the outer slot is formed into a triangular shape with the vertex being positioned on the outer side and the base being positioned on the inner side, and the base is formed with an arc that is centered on the rotation center of the double-cage rotor. Additionally, the three corners, including the vertex, of the triangular outer slot are rounded.
