Abstract:
The invention concerns a motor vehicle turbocharger, comprising: a blade-holder ring (22) whereon are installed pivoting blades (24); an annular surface (30) parallel to the blade-holder ring and located on the side of the blades; spacers (34) maintaining the blade-holder ring spaced apart from the annular surface, a nominal functional clearance being formed between the surface (30) and the blades in closed position. The annular surface (30) comprises along its outer peripheral edge an annular indentation (40) so that, when the blades are in open position, their rear end is located opposite the annular indentation (40) and forms therewith an increased functional clearance (E) greater than said nominal clearance.
