Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a double-connection method and device. The method comprises: a to-be-accessed controller configures a parameter for a user equipment and sends the parameter to a base station; after receiving the parameter, the base station sends a first connection reconfiguration message comprising the parameter to the user equipment; the user equipment receives the first connection reconfiguration message sent by the base station, and establishes a connection to the to-be-accessed controller according to the parameter. When the user equipment accesses a cell managed by the controller, the user equipment can perform configuration in advance according to the parameter in the first connection reconfiguration message. Therefore, the user equipment can simultaneously access a coverage area of the base station and a coverage area of the controller, so that the user equipment can interact with a core network by means of the base station, and by means of the base station and the controller, thereby improving the throughput of the user equipment.
