Provided is a double-faced adhesive tape in which the adhesion between the substrate and the adhesive-agent layers is high and in which the substrate is less prone to rupture. Also disclosed is a process for producing a double-faced adhesive tape including a polytetrafluoroethylene porous-film substrate and adhesive-agent layers on both surfaces of the substrate, the process involving the following steps (1) to (4) in the following order: (1) a step of applying an adhesive-agent composition to a first release liner; (2) a step of bonding together one of the principal surfaces of the polytetrafluoroethylene porous-film substrate and the first release liner to which the adhesive-agent composition has been applied; (3) a step of heating the substrate to which the first release liner has been bonded, to form a first adhesive-agent layer; and (4) a step of providing the other principal surface of the substrate with a second adhesive-agent layer in which a portion of the adhesive agent thereof has penetrated into the substrate.
