Abstract:
A double-headed grinder (1), wherein a carrier plate (30) comprises a pair of carrier parts (31, 32) that exhibit a fan-shaped outline form having a central angle (α) of less than 90°, centered around a carrier shaft, and upon which a plurality of work pockets (33) are formed. The carrier shaft (23) is installed at a boundary inside and outside a machining chamber cover (40) as viewed from the direction in which the center line (CL) of said carrier shaft (23) extends. The carrier parts (31, 32) enter and leave the inside of the machining chamber cover (40) in accordance with the rotation of the carrier shaft (23). The double-headed grinder (1), wherein the machining chamber cover (40) can be reduced in size and workpieces can be attached to and detached from the carrier plate (30) outside the machining chamber cover (40), is thus provided.
