Abstract:
A double-purpose ladder used as a single ladder as well as a herringbone ladder comprises a fixing plate (6) and two folding plates (1, 2) respectively connected to two single ladder sections, as viewed from the side, the ends of these two folding plates (1, 2) are hinged together, and the other ends thereof are respectively provided with a through hole (3, 4). When the folding plates (1, 2) are folded together, these two through holes (3, 4) are superposed together. One of the folding plates (1, 2) is arranged with a location hole (5), wherein the center of the location hole (5), the hinge axis and the center of the through hole in the sameplate form an obtuse triangle, in which the obtuse angle is at the hinge axis. Furthermore, the fixing plate (6) is provided with two location pins (7, 8), the distance between which is equal to that between the location hole (5) and the through hole in the same plate.
