Abstract:
In this double-row self-aligning roller bearing (1), left-row rollers (4) and right-row rollers (5) are interposed between an inner ring (2) and an outer ring (3). The raceway surface (3a) of the outer ring (3) has a spherical surface shape, and, in a cross section, the outer peripheral surfaces of the left- and right-row rollers (4, 5) conform to the raceway surface (3a) of the outer ring (3). The length (L1) of the left-row roller (4) differs from the length (L2) of the right-row roller (5), and each of the left-row roller (4) and the right-row roller (5) is a symmetric roller having a maximum diameter positioned at the roller length center thereof. A section (2c) between a left-row raceway surface (2a) and a right-row raceway surface (2b) on the outer circumferential surface of the inner ring (2) is formed as a flat circumferential surface.
