Description:
DOUBLE SHELL LOAD BEARING OR SPACE SEPARATOR WOODEN WALL

The Related Art

The invention relates to recycling waste materials and preparation of load-bearing or separator wooden wall for use in construction of buildings, which is fire-resistant and has low heat and sound permeability, by using firewood or wood waste emerges while preparing timbers from wood or log material.

Background of the Invention

The buildings constructed by use of conventional wooden structural technique most widely used in present wooden building practices are log houses and wooden carcase structures. The wood-based timbers, logs and other wooden materials used in such structures are made from first class or minimum second-class timber material. In addition, there are beam, load- bearing or separator wall applications with enhanced bearing capacity by laminated technology.

Considerably high cost timbers are necessary to be used in present applications. It is difficult to get log material used in production of first or second class expensive timber. After the tree is cut down, curvy and knotty logs are cut at most 1 -meter-long with saw and spared as wood and the remaining smooth, knot-free logs are cut at last 2-meters-long and made ready in sizes proper for transporting. Such logs are shipped to saw workshop and cut into timber. After various operations, they are categorised as first class or second class timbers. The cost of timber obtained after these procedures is considerably high. In available applications, expensive and processed timber materials are used to construct load bearing and separator walls. One of the weakest points of wooden structures is that it is too difficult to protect them against fire.

The usage of beam, load-bearing or separator wall materials with enhanced bearing capacity by laminated technology is expensive solution. As a result, due to above mentioned disadvantages and inadequacies of existing solutions, it has been necessary to make development in the related art. Purpose of the Invention

The present invention aims to disclose a load bearing or separator wooden wall offering new solutions in this field and having different technical characteristics from the existing related art. The purpose of the present invention is recycling wood obtained after forest maintenance and thinning, damaged by wind and natural events, wasted during fire and disasters by cutting knotty and curvy parts and processing trees that is spared as wood and using them in place of first class timber to build load bearing wooden wall with double shell.

It will be possible to add value to building along with load bearing and space separator walls in terms of engineering by help of composing load bearing and space separator walls with double shell wooden walls. In this application, we have the chance to provide fire resistance and heat insulation without constructing an additional layer in the building walls and without forming a coating facade. The present invention will contribute to economy and environment by constructing buildings resistant to earthquake, having low cost, having solutions for external and internal factors and minimizing risks.

The main (load bearing) walls built through this application are characterized in that they can be dismantled one by one like brick walls and used in construction of another wooden main load bearing wall.

In order to achieve the abovementioned purposes, the invention is a wooden wall which is fire-resistant and has low heat and sound permeability, characterized by comprising;

- twin wooden parts formed by means of cutting the wooden log in two parts,

- a connection apparatus integrating the twin wooden parts and making them whole,

- wooden pieces located between the twin wooden parts and placed in a manner that their fibres are vertical,

- filling mortar filling spaces remaining outside of the vertical wooden pieces located between the connection apparatus and twin wooden parts.

In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described in a manner not forming any restrictive effect and only for purpose of better understanding of the matter.

A twin wooden part (1 ) is formed from wooden log cut in the middle (in shaped form (round, square or rectangular sectioned)) and became twin two parts. The twin wooden parts (1 ) are located on the wall in the way that the fibres are in horizontal direction and they don't carry load vertically. The cross-section of two parts in horizontal direction may be smaller since no vertical load is carried. Another function of this wall is to prevent out of plane separation of vertical wooden pieces (3) located in the inner side and carrying loads of the walls. While performing this function, the wooden timber part is under influence of bending force. Moment resistance safety tensions are considerably high in the direction vertical to the fibres of the wood material. The said timbers aid vertical wooden pieces (3) to carry load and increase their load bearing capacity many times more. The connection apparatus (2) connects and integrates the twin wooden parts (1 ) and fastens vertical wooden pieces (3) end to end thanks to locking flaps (2.1 ) located in upper part thereon. The twin wooden parts (1 ) fit into the connection apparatus (2) which has a circular shape. The vertical wooden pieces (3) continuously aline in downward direction by means of vertical fitting canal (2.2) provided on connection apparatus (2). When twin wooden parts (1 ) dry in time, cracks occur in their ends. The circle shaped connection apparatus (2) embedded into the timber prevents wood from cracking. On the other hand, the connection apparatus (2) fastens twin wooden parts (1 ) to the wall vertically and supports parts (1 ) against bending forces by connecting them to internal layer. The connection apparatus (2) is made of carbon fibre, glass fibre and duralumin with press-in method. The vertical wooden pieces (3) are located in the mid-layer of the wall in a manner the fibres thereof are vertical. The wooden pieces (3) located with fibres facing vertically are the bearing members of mid-layer and bearing vertical and horizontal loads of earthquake and wind. The twin wooden parts (1 ) support the wooden pieces (3) arranged in a row in order to allow load bearing under pressure and prevent their out of plane movements. The out of plane separation of vertical wooden pieces (3) located in internal shell under pressure is prevented since the twin wooden parts (1 ) are fixed in position perpendicular to the wall by means of connection apparatus (2). Filling mortar (4) is a lime mortar mixed with water in fluid thickening and comprises cellulose aggregate and boron powder mix used for filling gaps (2.3) occurring between vertical wooden pieces (3) in mid-layer while putting them in row. The filling mortar (4) made in the fluid thickening by use of cellulose aggregate, lime and boron powder and has a feature to fill all the gaps (2.3) in mid-layer. The features provided while forming special cellulose aggregate and mortar (4) composition change the life quality of buildings. In addition, the connection apparatus (2) have gaps (2.3) to be located in the filling mortar (4) in embedded manner.

We make double shell main load bearing wall or separator wall in recycling principle from the firewood or wastes come out while making timber from wood or log materials. The features contributed to the wooden walls (A) are fire resistance, low heat and sound permeability in addition to highly economic solutions. Such features are provided without need of any additional layers, extra materials or spending.

The wooden walls (A) according to the present invention are disclosed with fire resistant, low heat and sound permeable by using firewood or wood waste emerges while preparing timbers from wood or log material in recycling principle.

The wooden logs should be skinned off completely. It should be of the same alignment and smooth along timber. The timber should be cut starting from the bending point and the length should be ended. The machines skinning the timber should be used for this operation. If the visible outer surface of the timbers on the inner and outer shells of wooden timbers is desired to be of appearance curved with axe, cross-section diameter along with timber should be made same.

If the building is desired to be made by main wall in wood house (surface in wood appearance), the timber parts with shells cut in same diameters and cleaned surface are cut smoothly from both ends and joints of minimum 2 cm depth are drilled on the cut surface as required under the design. After this operation, the log is cut into two from the middle. Twin wooden timber materials of two parts form the internal-outer shell tin wooden timbers of the double shell main wall.

If smooth surface wooden building desired to be built, the timbers of which outer surface and skins are cleaned for wooden double shell main wall are cut in saw workshop in square or rectangular sections. Both ends are cut properly and joints of desired diameter in minimum 2 cm depth are provided, and then they are cut into two or three parts. Out of the said three parts, the one in the middle can be used for any works while the other two parts are made twin wooden part (1 ) for internal/outer shell. The desired thickness is determined by use of mathematical calculations based on strength value of the materials used therein. The form of a connection member is made according to its design. The bearing is considered in circular structure, fibres are located in circular direction, press-in technique will be used by filling materials joining the fibres. If cast is of amorphous material, tensile and compressive capacity of the weakest section should be determined by testing.

The vertical wooden pieces (3) used in mid-layer should be the same thickness of each part. It should be prepared in minimum 1 cm smaller than gap between internal and outer shell and the filling mortar (4) should surround the wooden timbers in the middle part. The filling mortar (4) is a special lime mortar in fluid thickening of special composition. Some features are expected from the mortar (4). It should minimize heat permeability, and be of fluid capable to fill in all gaps (2.3) without forming wind and heat corridors in the mid-layer. It should hold wooden surface but shall not stick thereon. The walls can be dismantled and materials thereof can be used in construction of wall in another place.

The construction of double shell load bearing or space separator wall is started with putting the internal and outer shell twin wooden parts (1 ) in row. Each part forms internal and outer shell surface of internal and outer wooden wall (A) with their twins. The twins (1 ) create a row on the wall in a way that their fibres are in horizontal axis and they are combined with connection members at their ends. While forming the second and later rows, intermediate partition of mid-layer is filled in a manner that fibres are on vertical by use of vertical wooden pieces (3) and mortar material. The wooden pieces (3) are put in row in mortar in such a way that fibres are vertical. The important point is that the end of timbers should not be in same level as the perpendicular vertical line next to them.

We have the opportunity to have double shell wooden main or space separator wall, mid- layer between internal and outer shell, the filling mortar (4) to be used for filling, preparation from lime mortar made with cellulose base aggregate, and thus providing several features on main load bearing wall. This is main factor that makes the double shell wooden main wall construction favoured. The feature of the main walls is also feature of the buildings. These important features include fire resistance; if the mortar (4) filling the internal area as an uninterrupted sealing, filling layer is not influenced by fire, therefore if the fire starts from outer surface, it cannot penetrate into mid-layer and the fire occurs in internal area, it cannot pass through mid-layer. Thus the mid-layer of the wall slows down growth of the fire and makes demolition of the building difficult. We have the chance to use the results of studies made to make heat permeability of mid-layer mortar material higher. Today, mortar materials with high heat coefficient are produced by means of element "boron", lime and cellulose aggregate. We have the capability to make mortar filling (4) layer with high heat coefficient in application of double shell wooden main wall or space separator wall. If a diaphragm without corridor is made in a mortar (4) filling in mid-part of double shell wooden main or separator wall, in case filling mortar (4) which is material of the diaphragm has low sound permeability, then sound insulation of the building is provided. This opportunity is only available in double shell wooden main wall.
