Abstract:
A horizontally mounted circular cylindrical double-shell tank for a ship is provided with: an inner vessel including an inner vessel body which stores liquefied gas and an inner vessel dome which protrudes upward from the inner vessel body; an outer vessel including an outer vessel body which surrounds the inner vessel body and an outer vessel dome which surrounds the inner vessel dome; a restraining body disposed between the inner vessel dome and the outer vessel dome and restraining the center position of the inner vessel dome relative to the outer vessel dome; a pair of support bodies which are arranged on both sides of the center of the inner vessel dome in the axial direction of the tank, are affixed to the outer peripheral surface of the inner vessel body, and are slidable on the inner peripheral surface of the outer vessel body; and a pair of stoppers affixed to the inner peripheral surface of the outer vessel body and located at a distance from each other in the axial direction of the tank between the pair of support bodies, the pair of stoppers respectively coming in contact with or coming close to the pair of support bodies which move as the inner vessel body thermally contracts when liquefied gas is introduced into the inner vessel.
