Abstract:
Disclosed is a double-sided locking type reclining seat for a vehicle such that there does not arise a situation where a reclining locking mechanism itself is deformed, as exemplified by a case where a connecting shaft is bent sharply, and that measures are taken to prevent the reclining locking mechanism from being disengaged due to a collision load caused by baggage or the like, in such a way that no complicated mechanical change is made in the inside of the reclining locking mechanism. The double-sided locking type reclining seat is provided with a metal catch (10) which takes a load applied by baggage or the like to the rear side of a seat back. The metal catch (10) is mounted on and fixed to the surface of the connecting shaft (5) in such a way as to be oriented obliquely downward from the rear side of the shaft. As a load caused by baggage or the like is applied to the rear side of the seat back, the metal catch (10) under load holds down the connecting shaft (5) in such a direction as to lock the reclining locking mechanism.
