Abstract:
Double toggle synchronous mechanism which can be employed in a mechanism and the like which compresses a work by applying pressure from both sides, processes and presses the work from both sides or clamp an article from both sides in such a case as bulging of the work etc. The invention includes a link which is forced to make a reciprocating motion by means of a pressure cylinder with the back end thereof supported rotatably. An L-shaped arm is connected to each of the both ends of the link so as to be oscillated by the reciprocating motion of the link. A toggle arm is connected to each of said L-shaped arm, while a pair of working bodies such as a die etc. suitable for the purpose of work such as bulging of pipe, pressing of a work, clamping of an article etc. are attached to each of said toggle arms. Driven by said pressure cylinder, a pair of working bodies such as a die etc. open and close synchronously with each other with the same working force and same working speed, to compress by applying pressure, press, or clamp the work or article positioned at the center of a pair of working bodies such as a die. In such a manner as stated above, as the working forces and speeds of the working bodies such as a pair of right and left dies are well balanced, accuracy of working of the works or articles is high and working can be performed with a simple construction.
