Abstract:
A double universal joint connecting rod, comprising a connecting rod shank (13), a first universal joint disposed at a first end of the connecting rod shank (13), and a second universal joint disposed at a second end of the connecting rod shank (13). The first universal joint comprises a first connecting pin (11) and a second connecting pin (14) with axes perpendicular to each other, and the axes of the first and second connecting pins (11, 14) are both perpendicular to the axis of a cylinder block. The second universal joint comprises a third connecting pin (15) and a fourth connecting pin (18) with axes perpendicular to each other, and the axes of the third and fourth connecting pins (15, 18) are both perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder block. The first, second, third, and fourth connecting pins (11, 14, 15, 18) are disposed in turn along the axis direction of the cylinder block. The axes of the first and third connecting pins (11, 15) are parallel to each other. The axes of the second and fourth connecting pins (14, 18) are parallel to each other. The double universal joint connecting rod has motion flexibility and does not have strict requirements on production conditions or materials any longer, thereby greatly reducing production costs and improving the performance of a piston engine and a piston pump.
