Disclosed is a downlight with an automatic mounting device, the downlight comprising at least one automatic mounting device (20) and a lamp body (10), wherein the lamp body (10) comprises a light body (11) and at least one clamping mechanism (12); the light body (11) has an outer periphery (112); each clamping mechanism (12) has a torsion spring mounting end (121), a blocking free end (122) and an accommodating space (120), respectively; the blocking free end (122) and the torsion spring mounting end (121) correspond to each other, and the accommodating space (120) is formed at the torsion spring mounting end (121); the torsion spring mounting end (121) of each clamping mechanism (12) and each automatic mounting device (20) are respectively mounted on the light body (11), and one automatic mounting device (20) is accommodated in the accommodating space (120) of one clamping mechanism (12); and the automatic mounting device (20) is used for blocking the blocking free end (122) of the clamping mechanism (12), and the height size of the downlight can be reduced by accommodating part of the automatic mounting device (20) in the accommodating space (120) of the clamping mechanism (12).
