Abstract:
Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a downlink and uplink compression method and device using a non-standard bandwidth of an LTE system. The method comprises: filtering, by a base station, baseband signals by using a filter having an LTE non-standard bandwidth, and filtering out signals having bandwidths other than the LTE non-standard bandwidth; and transmitting signals to a terminal by the base station using an LTE non-standard bandwidth available from an operator. For example, in operation, only a 3 Mbps LTE non-standard bandwidth within a spectrum range of 1-4 Mbps is available while the LTE standard bandwidth is 5 Mbps, such that the filter should filter out signals having bandwidths within the ranges of 0-1 Mbps and 4-5 Mbps. The base station uses the 3 Mbps LTE non-standard bandwidth for final transmission while the terminal uses the 5 Mbps LTE standard bandwidth for reception, excluding signals from base stations using bandwidths within the ranges of 0-1 Mbps and 4-5 Mbps. The base station needs to transmit the non-standard bandwidth of the LTE system to the terminal, such that the terminal transmits data to the base station according to the non-standard bandwidth of the LTE system.
