Abstract:
Provided is a dozing prevention method with which it is possible to detect a pre-dozing state in the process of becoming a dozing state, while suppressing erroneous detections. Also provided is a dozing prevention device. This method includes: a measurement step for measuring a person's heartbeat; a determination step (S4 to S8) for outputting a trigger (referred to as a "drowsiness trigger" below) that indicates drowsiness if there are consecutive increases in the heartbeat interval in comparison to the previous heartbeat interval; and a warning step (S9) for generating a warning to prevent dozing if the drowsiness trigger is output.
