Abstract:
A draft gear yoke of a draft gear for a railway freight car includes a draft gear yoke body (1) and a draft key retainer (3).The head of the draft gear yoke body (1) has a draft key hole for installing a draft key that is connected with the coupler. A draft key retainer (3) for supporting the draft key is installed underneath the head of the draft gear yoke body (1). The shape of the upper surface of a supporting part of the draft key retainer (3) corresponds with a lower surface of the draft key to form surface-contact between the two surfaces. It strengthens safety and reliability of the draft gear yoke.
