Abstract:
In order to remove cotton fly that has attached to the surface of a bottom roller and to prevent the accumulation of cotton fly in the proximity of the bottom roller, a cleaning belt (32) is disposed below a third bottom roller (22) in the bottom roller unit (30) of a draft machine. The cleaning belt (32) is wrapped around rollers (51, 52) and is pushed against the third bottom roller (22) by being impelled upward by means of a leaf spring (53) attached to the roller (51). In addition, when the third bottom roller (22) turns, the cleaning belt (32) is turned by means of the frictional force with the third bottom roller (22), and as a result, the cotton fly attached to the surface of the third bottom roller (22) is removed and transported away by the cleaning belt (32). The transported cotton fly is scraped off by means of a plate-like member (55) that touches the cleaning belt (32), and the cotton fly is thereafter suctioned into a suction nozzle (60).
