Abstract:
The drain pump for a washing machine according to the present invention comprises a body 10 having a central space 12 therein; an impeller 2 having a base plate 21, a central protrusion 22 protruding upwards from the central portion of the base plate 21, having an inner space 221, and a plurality of wing pieces 23 radially extending from the central protrusion; a rotor assembly 3 located in the central space 12, comprising a rotor magnet 313, a rotor core 314 in which the rotor magnet 313 is received, and a shaft 31 to which the rotor core 314 is coupled to rotate together; and a starter 32 coupled to the top of the shaft, located in the inner space 221.
