Abstract:
For the purpose of providing a draw solution containing an UCST-type polymeric compound useful as a draw solute in a forward osmosis membrane separation method for performing the membrane separation of water using a forward osmosis membrane, a water treatment method and a water treatment apparatus, the draw solution contains a polymeric compound produced using, as starting materials, a compound represented by general formula (a) and a compound represented by general formula (b) as a draw solute. [In formula (a) and formula (b), R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.]
