Abstract:
Disclosed is a drawer movement assist device wherein, when an end plate (16) is opened, the rocking movement of the end plate (16) causes an upper rack (34) to move horizontally towards the front via a stay (24), causes a press bar (28) fixed to a lower rack (42) to move horizontally towards the back via a rotating gear (40), and causes a stopper (46) fixed to a cabinet main body (12) to be pressed towards the back. As a result, a drawer (14) is ejected towards the front relative to the cabinet main body (12). In addition, immediately before the end plate (16) opens, a protrusion (34B) on the upper rack (34) comes in contact with the rear end section (66A) of the slider (66) of a piston rod (58), lessening the impact when the end plate (16) is opened. Also, immediately before the end plate (16) closes, the rear surface (16A) of the end plate (16) comes in contact with the front end section (56A) of a piston cylinder (56), lessening the impact when the end plate (16) is closed.
