Abstract:

After it is dried and hardened by a heating element as it is being moved on a plurality of conveyor belts arranged inside a vacuum tank, the dried material is received at stationary cutting edges (24), (25) arranged in a casing (23) installed at the ends of the belts where they turn back to the returning side, pulverized by rotary cutting edges (26) cooperating with the stationary cutting edges of the pulverizing device, dropped into the casing and discharged out of the vacuum lank by the discharging device having a screw blade (31). Since the device does not roughly pulverize or peel the dried material off the belt, collects and feeds the pulverized dried material separated from the surface of the belt without floating finely pulverized powder in the meantime and yet allows the space of the device to be reduced, it is particularly suited to a drying apparatus for producing powdered milk or powered fruit juice.
