Abstract:
An exemplary embodiment of the present invention relates to a drill bit mounted to the front end of a drill blade. The drill bit that is inserted and seated into a recessed groove formed in the front end of a drill blade comprises: a main tip to be inserted into the recessed groove, the main tip including a "V" shaped cutting blade formed at the front end thereof and an insertion groove formed in the bottom surface thereof in a crossing manner, facing an auxiliary tip; and the auxiliary tip to be inserted into the recessed groove, the auxiliary tip including a seat groove formed in the front end surface thereof in a crossing manner, facing the insertion groove of the main tip, wherein the main tip and the auxiliary tip are coupled in such a manner that the drill bit is connected to a lead having a helical recess formed on the outer peripheral surface of the drill blade. In this way, chips produced from a workpiece during a drilling operation are quickly discharged along the helical recess formed in the lead of the drill blade, thereby improving the work efficiency. Further, as the main and auxiliary tips of the drill bit are arranged to have a crossing angle of 98o, it is easier to provide a rotational force in the clockwise direction during the drilling operation and the life of the drill bit is thus improved. In addition, a circular hole cross-section facilitates a firm-fit of an anchor bolt being inserted such that an operator may feel less tired and provide an improved work efficiency.
