Abstract:
A drill of one embodiment extends from a first end to a second end. A cutting section includes a cutting edge located at a first end side, a groove extending from the cutting edge toward the second end, an end surface located more to a second end side than the groove, and a connecting surface that is located between the groove and the end surface and is connected to the groove and to the end surface. The connecting surface includes a first site where the length in the direction along an axis of rotation is longest, and a second site located more to an outer peripheral side of the cutting section than the first site. The length in the direction along the axis of rotation at the second site is shorter than the length in the direction along the axis of rotation at the first site when viewed from a first direction orthogonal to the axis of rotation so that the first site and the axis of rotation overlap.
