Abstract:
A drill press has a base (1), a column (12) engaging with the base (1) and a main spindle
box (13) engaging with the column (12). Wherein the main spindle box (13) comprises
a power unit and a working head (32) driven by the power unit. The drill press further
comprises a first worktable (151) and a second worktable (152), and a position
quick changing device (14) is provided between these two worktables (151,152).
Said position quick changing device (14) can alternatively adjust the first
or the second worktable (151,152) to a working position quickly such that one
of these two worktables (151,152) can be set as a supporting surface with workpieces
supported thereon. One of these two worktables (151,152) is a V-shaped worktable
(152) and the other is a conventional worktable (151). Thus, it is possible to
choose the first or the second worktable (151,152) to be the workpiece supporting
surface only through the position quick changing device (14) and it is not necessary
for an operator to use a V-block during operation.
