Abstract:
The invention is intended to provide a drill capable of improving the accuracy with which the drill main body and the tip are positioned and capable of stabilized machining while maintaining the strength of the drill main body. To achieve this object, the drill of the invention comprises a drill main body (1) turnable around the axis thereof, and a tip (2) removably attached to the drill main body, the drill main body being provided with a concave groove (6) that opens to the front end surface, the inner lateral surface of the concave groove being formed with an axially extending guide groove (7), the outer lateral surface of the tip being formed with a convex portion (13) engageable with the guide groove, the concave groove being so set as to allow tip disposition. When the tip is to be attached to the drill main body, the tip is inserted from the front end surface side into the concave groove while bringing the convex portion into engagement with the guide groove.
