Abstract:
In this drill: a wall surface (6) of a chip discharge groove (5) is provided with a first wall surface, which has a concave curved shape, and a second wall surface (6B), which is linear, in a cross-section orthogonal to the axial line (O) of a drill body 1; the extension of the straight line of the second wall surface (6B) extends to the side opposite the drill rotation direction towards the outer periphery side of the drill body (1) with respect to a radius line linking the axial line (O) and the outer peripheral edge of the second wall surface (6B); a cutting edge is provided with a first cutting edge (3A) having a concave curved shape and a linear second cutting edge (3B) intersecting with the first cutting edge (3A) at an obtuse angle; when a margin part (8) is viewed from the outer periphery side in a direction perpendicular to the axial line (O), an intersecting ridgeline part between the margin part (8) and a second honing surface (11B) of the second cutting edge (3B) is formed to a convex curved shape; and an intersecting ridgeline part between the second honing surface (11B) and a first honing surface (11A) of the first cutting edge (3A) is formed to a linear shape or a convex curved shape having a curvature radius greater than that of the intersecting ridgeline part between the margin part (B) and the second honing surface (11B).
