Abstract:
A drive assist device (3) generates intersection passage characteristic information for individual vehicles at a signal intersection (31). The drive assist device (3) predicts, on the basis of the intersection passage characteristic information, whether or not a vehicle can, without coming to a stop, pass the signal intersection that is the subject of the determination (32). The drive assist device (3) uses the resulting passability prediction result and signal information for the signal intersection that is the subject of the determination to generate a vehicle group formation control signal for causing a controlled vehicle (2) to perform an action of forming a vehicle group comprising vehicles that can pass, during a green signal at the signal intersection that is the subject of the determination (33, 34).
