Abstract:
A current pathway to a gate (203) is shut off by a normally-OFF type first switch element (50) until activation of a gate drive voltage generation unit (10) is detected. Further, a semiconductor switching element (200) is kept in an OFF-state as the gate (203) is short-circuited with a source (202) by a normally-ON type second switch element (60). Upon detection of the activation of the gate drive voltage generation unit (10), the second switch element (60) is turned OFF and at the same time, the first switch element (50) is turned ON. With this configuration, the gate (203) is driven by an output of a signal amplification unit (20) in accordance with a control signal (Sgc), and as a result, the semiconductor switching element (203) is turned OFF and ON in accordance with the control signal (Sgc).
