Abstract:

Provided is a drive control apparatus for individual-wheel drive vehicles, which is capable of suppressing instability of vehicle behavior due to overspeed of one drive wheel in an individual-wheel drive vehicle. This drive control apparatus is mounted to an individual-wheel drive vehicle equipped with left and right motors (6, 6) for respectively driving left and right drive wheels 2, 2. This drive control apparatus is provided with: an ECU (21) that generates and outputs command torques; and an inverter device (22). The drive control apparatus is also provided with left and right rotation speed detection units (34, 34) for respectively detecting rotation speeds of the left and right motors (6, 6), and an overspeed prevention control unit (35) that changes the command torques of the left and right motors (6, 6) so as to suppress the rotation speeds of the left and right motors (6, 6), when at least either one of the detected rotation speeds of the left and right motors (6, 6) exceeds a predetermined rotation speed.
